Two Individuals Accused Regarding Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Attack
Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a luggage theft where a believed to be pepper spray led to people being hurt at the UK's busiest airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and charges for deploying a toxic agent, as confirmed by court officials.
This legal action stems from an investigation into an assault at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their suitcases taken after exiting a car park lift, authorities reported.
A three-year-old girl was among those injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
This event – which authorities stated was not part of a series and not considered a terror-related act – led to disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
