Top-ranked Sabalenka Secures Consecutive WTA Top Player Accolades.

The tennis star celebrating a point
Aryna Sabalenka finished the tour with an outstanding twenty-three to three Grand Slam win-loss record.

World number one Aryna Sabalenka has been selected the Women's Tennis Association player of the year for a second straight season.

The twenty-seven-year-old won four titles – the most on tour – including successfully defending the US Open this past September against Amanda Anisimova to claim her fourth Grand Slam singles championship.

A Season of Dominance

Across the season, Sabalenka reached a circuit-leading nine finals, with defeats coming to Madison Keys in the Australian Open final at the start of the year and Coco Gauff in June's French Open final.

The star player also claimed victory at the Brisbane International in January, the Miami Open during the spring, and the Madrid Open as the clay season progressed. She spent the entire year as the world number one, concluding 2025 on top of the rankings for a second straight year.

This past summer, she achieved the status of being the first athlete to top 12,000 WTA ranking points since Serena Williams in 2015.

Record-Breaking Numbers

Sabalenka finished the competitive year with a 63-12 win-loss record, and collected a historic £11m in earnings.

She garnered nearly eighty percent of the votes cast by global tennis journalists.

On 28 December, she is set to play 2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios in a Battle of the Sexes-style exhibition match in a bid to "raise women's tennis to a higher level".
