The children's author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Acclaimed writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the company commented: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was reached following an investigation into claims about inappropriate behaviour involving female individuals.
The firm did not confirm the reasons for its decision, adding: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books combined, which features a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.

His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
