Over a fortnight subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones continue to honor the couple.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Posting on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, explained he only now felt able to share openly about his personal sorrow.

"Sufficient time has elapsed that I can finally articulate my loss into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started spending more time together I knew this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor posted archival material from the movie, commenting that he doesn't recollect "one day without joy".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob valued immensely. This is one of the many reasons he was the perfect person to direct it," Elwes expressed.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, stating: "Asserting that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I recall you." He finished with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Fellow Artist

In a different tribute, revered director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese shared.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the protagonist.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked seamlessly with his co-stars, and he grasped the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese noted.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Restricted

In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to block the disclosure of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A judicial mandate issued a restriction on the investigation to restrict the public release of "related notes, documents, files or images" pertaining to the ongoing investigation.

The coroner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the outcome of foul play, with a record citing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Following the killings, public individuals expressed different responses.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, making provocative remarks that were met with immediate backlash by numerous individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his perspective to the those speaking out last week. Talking on his show, Rogan labeled the statements as "disturbing" and implied they demonstrated a concerning deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan ended by remarking that an aide should have intervened when the decision to weigh in on the passing was made.
