Barça to Host First Fixture at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend
Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome the Basque side in La Liga 30 months since relocating so building work could begin.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside based on approved permits. After final construction, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. The club said completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.
Stadium Testing
Barça organized a public practice inside the stadium in early November. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body to host the next European match versus the German side on 9 December at the stadium. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
